BIRATNAGAR, June 23:Two persons have died after drowning in Teli River in Morang district on Wednesday. The river washed them away while they were attempting to cross it, police said.

The victims have been identified as Nirmala Rai of Jante-2, and Ram Prasad Gautam of Madhumalla-4, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Morang.
Similarly, Baktraha River broke its dam and entered Madhumalla VDC of the district, inundating about 150 houses. At least 15 families of the VDC are said to have been displaced by the flood triggered by incessant rainfall since the past two days.
