JHAPA, Sept 29: Two persons were killed and one was injured in separate road accidents involving motorcycles in Jhapa.
Madan Rijal, 35, of Jhapa Mechinagar-7 died when his motorcycle (Me 2 Pa 7754) collided with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction at Charali-Budhabare road section along the Mechi Highway Thursday, the District Traffic Office Jhapa said.

Pravin Subedi, 35, of Hetauda, Makwaanour, who was riding the second motorcycle ( Na 13 Pa 8033), was severely injured in the accident and is being treated at the Birtamod-based B$C Hospital.
Kalpana Rijal, 32, spouse of the deceased, pillion rider on the first motorcycle at the time, has sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Likewise, an aged man of around 80 years-old was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle at Damak of Jhapa along the East-West Highway late night yesterday. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. He, left severely hurt in the accident, breathed his last in course of treatment at the local Nims Hospital. Police have arrested the motorcyclist for further investigations.
