MORANG, Nov 16: Two people including a child have died in a tractor accident at around 8 PM on Monday at Kaseni in Belbari Municipality-5 of Morang district. The deceased have been identified as tractor driver Bijay Hemaran, 22, of Rangeli Municipality-1 and Avinash Marandi, 15, of the same place.
According to Chief of Morang Traffic Police Office, Inspector Chandra Bahadur Khadka, the tractor (Ko 2 Ta 8688) crashed as it lost control while plowing the field of Indra Darji of Kaseni.
Driver killed, two others injured in tractor accident
Both died at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar at around 10:30 pm while undergoing treatment. According to police, the initial investigation has revealed that the tractor had met with an accident while crossing the uphill road.
Police said that Aait Satar Tudu, 27, of Rangeli-1, a tractor driver without a driver's license, was arrested in connection with the incident and further investigation is currently underway.
