UDAYAPUR, June 25: An improvised explosive device (IED) was found in Udayapur on Tuesday morning.

A bomb disposal team defused IED which was found near Gaighat, the district headquarters. Similarly, police have found a suspicious object at Katari Bazaar on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, the country-wide general strike called by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) Group has also affected normal life in Udayapur. Public transportation has been totally affected since this morning while educational institutions and big shops have remained closed.
