UML, Maoist Center to complete first draft of political document by March 6

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The ruling Left Alliance - CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have said that they will complete the first draft of the interim statue by March 6.

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The ruling Left Alliance - CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have said that they will complete the first draft of the interim statue by March 6. 



Both the parties' representatives jointly started preparing an interim statue on the basis of common political ideology from Monday.


"The meeting held on Tuesday at UML Central party office Dhumbarahai handed responsibility of drafting interim Statue to  Barshaman Pun from Maoist Center and Bedu Ram Bhusal", said UML secretary Gokarna Bista.

Likewise, Gokarna Bista from UML and Giriraj Mani Pokherel from Maoist Center shouldered responsibility for drafting joint political document for public union, professional union, community union and academic union. Both the panels will complete it by March 6. 


Party merger committee has formed a taskforce to prepare the common political document and guidelines for the unification. 


The taskforce coordinated by Ram Bahadur Thapa will work on preparing political guidelines to ease the unification process.


Ishwor Pokherel, Bishnu paudel, Gokarna Bista, Surendra Pandey, Raghubir Mahaseth and Beduram Bhusal from UML and Barshaman Pun, Giriraj Mani Pokherel, Janardhan Sharma and Matrika Yadav from Maoist Center are the members of this taskforce committee.
