UML mayoral candidate bound to win as vote count goes on in Suryodaya Municipality

ILAM, July 4: CPN-UML mayoral candidate Rana Bahadur Rai is bound to win the election though there are still 1944 votes left to be counted in Suryodaya Municipality in Illam district.

ILAM, July 4: CPN-UML mayoral candidate Rana Bahadur Rai is bound to win the election though there are still 1944 votes left to be counted in Suryodaya Municipality in Illam district.



Rai is ahead of his nearest rival Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Prem Lal Rai by a margin huge enough to enable him to be elected as a mayor though the remaining votes are added to the total votes garnered by his nearest rival.

Rana Bahadur Rai has secured 12,134 votes so far while his nearest rival Prem Lal Rai has obtained 9, 515 votes.


He is ahead of Prem Lal Rai by 2619 votes.
