KATHMANDU, Jan 9: The party unification coordination committee meeting of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) is underway at UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli residence, Balkot.
The meeting, as preparation of the party unification, will mainly focus to finalize the formation of two task forces that will sort out a tentative framework of unification before the formation of new government.

Senior leaders of both parties, including Oli and CPN (MC) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, are present in the meeting. Both parties formed an electoral alliance on October 3 and decided to unite both parties. However, the unification process could not get speed yet.
Prior to the meeting of the committee, chairmen of both parties held a one-to-one meeting on Sunday, whereas both parties had internal meetings on Monday regarding the issue. Earlier, the meeting of the committee was held in November.
