UML rejects any proposal which affects sovereignty, integrity: Leader Nembang

MORANG, Dec 9: CPN (UML) leader and former Constituent Assembly (CA) chair, Subas Nembang has denied accepting any proposal that affects national sovereignty and integrity. 



Talking to media persons at Biratnagar airport today, leader Nembang said that the UML will not accept any proposal that affects the national sovereignty, integrity and pride.

Referring to the recently registered constitution amendment bill, leader Nembang termed it as an irrelevant proposal registered by the government only to pick up quarrel. 


He added that the constitution was issued by over 90 percent votes of lawmakers; therefore, there was no meaning of amending it at the hour of its implementation. 


Leader Nembang, who is the deputy leader of the UML parliamentary party, shared that the constitution in India was issued by 65 percent votes while in US by 72 percent; whereas the constitution of Nepal was issued by over 90 percent votes therefore there was no alternative to implementing it.
