According to the preliminary results, Shrestha got 564 votes, while Tek Bahadur Pokharel of Rastriya Swatantra Party secured 561 votes. Kalpana Dhamala of CPN (Maoist Center) is trailing behind Shrestha and Pokharel with 345 votes.
