BHAKTAPUR, Jan 2: CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said that his party would retaliate with determination if the ruling parties tried to table the constitution amendment bill in the parliament.

At an interaction organised by the CPN-UML District Publicity Department and Press Chautari Nepal in Bhaktapur on Monday he said that his party would organized a mass demonstration in Kathmandu on January 6 against the constituent amendment bill.

The UML leader said, "We will not allow discussion and passage of the amendment proposal in the parliament as it was brought to make 'one Madhes one Province' by splitting Tarai and hilly parts of Province 5."

Leader Khanal further said that the ruling parties would be reduced to minority in the coming election if they turned a deaf ear to the agitation.
