Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Morang in Biratnagar, Oli said that he would not take any position regarding the resignation of the Chief Justice. "The UML does not show any partisanship on the issue of whether the Chief Justice should resign or not," he said, adding that politics was taking place in the name of the Supreme Court. He said that indecent factionalism and politics were already taking place inside the Supreme Court.

Oli stressed that the court should run according to the constitution and not according to the wishes of the chief justice. He said that the obstruction of the House will continue till the party’s members of parliament who have been expelled by the party as per the law are present in the parliament. "As the rules of procedure of the parliament clearly stipulate that no one operates the House of Representatives’ sessions with non-MPs, the obstruction will continue till the non-MPs are present," he said.
