DOLAKHA, May 17: CPN-UML has clinched both mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Jiri Municipality.
UML candidates Tanka Jirel and Krishna Maya Budhathoki have been elected as mayor and deputy mayor respectively. Jirel got 3,212 votes while Budhathoki 3, 266 votes.

Jirel’s closest rival Maoist Center’s Golbu
Sherpa got 2106 votes while Budhathoki’s rival Chitra Maya Sharma got 2017 votes.
Of the election results coming out of 74 wards, UML has won 14 wards, Maoist Center 12 and NC 10.
