BAJURA, Feb 1: A body of an abandoned infant was found in a canal at Kolti area on Tuesday morning.
The baby was found at Majh canal located at Thipichaur in Kolti – 1, according to police.

The locals spotted the body when they were preparing to take bath. Later, they brought the body under police surveillance at Kolti Primary Health Centre.
Kolti Airport's security guard Inspector, Dambar Bahadur Thapa, said the police were investigating if the baby was ditched in the canal by a couple after an illicit affair.
The body is kept at the health centre for post – mortem examination. Police are yet to identify the body and assume it was thrown in the canal on Monday night. Police suspect that the person who supposedly ditched the baby could be a resident of Kolti Bazaar. RSS
