Addressing a greetings exchange program organized by the Left Alliance in Kathmandu on Friday, Dahal said that for some time now, there have been threats to subvert the constitution and democracy in the country. Targeting the CPN-UML, he said they are making an effort to defy the constitution and push the country back toward despotism and lawlessness. He said that two ideas and tendencies of backwardness and progress have emerged in the country. He also said that the upcoming election would determine whether the country, constitution and democracy would win or lose.
