Update: 203 votes left to be counted, Deuba leading with 2,195 votes

KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Only 203 votes are left to be counted for the post of Nepali Congress President in the 14th national general convention.

KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Only 203 votes are left to be counted for the post of Nepali Congress President in the 14th national general convention. 

Out of 4,679 votes casted in the election held on Monday, 4,476 have been counted. Of which, Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba has secured 2,195 votes, Dr Shekhar Koirala 1,689 and Prakashman Singh 237. 

Meanwhile Bimalendra Nidhi and Kalyan Gurung have received 237 and 19 votes, respectively.

A candidate will need 2,340 votes to win the election.
