KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The US dollar is at an all-time high. The value of the US dollar (exchange rate) compared to the Nepali currency has been continuously increasing and has started making new records every day.
Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the exchange rate of one US dollar at Rs 131.41 for today. The price of the dollar, which set a new record on Friday, has been steadily rising since then.

As the value of the US dollar rises every day, the Nepali currency has also become weaker than ever. In recent days, the demand for dollars in the world market has increased, causing a sharp rise of its exchange value.
The effect has been seen in Nepali currency as Indian currency has weakened significantly against US dollar in recent months. Nepali currency is pegged with Indian currency.
