KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Domestic air services, which remained halted for nearly six months following the enforcement of the lockdown in the country, resumed on Monday.
The government had imposed the lockdown on March 24, restricting all kinds of public transportation, except for emergency purposes.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) allowed the domestic airlines to resume their services, asking them to adhere to the health protocols issued by the government.
The airline companies asked their passengers to wear face masks and visors to avoid the spread of COVID-19 infection. The safety gears were provided by the airlines.
When Republica journalists reached the domestic terminal of the country’s only international airport – Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) – on Monday afternoon, it was abuzz with passengers arriving in and departing from the capital city as the air services resumed after a hiatus of six months.
