Volunteer at quarantine facility in Rupandehi burns himself to death

BUTWAL, Aug 4: A youth who was volunteering at a quarantine facility at Devdaha-7 of Rupandehi district was burnt to death on Tuesday.

BUTWAL, Aug 4: A youth who was volunteering at a quarantine facility at Devdaha-7 of Rupandehi district was burnt to death on Tuesday.



Bipin Bashyal, 24, died at Lumbini Provincial Hospital while undergoing treatment this morning.

It has been learnt that the youth committed suicide by burning himself to death.


According to Police Inspector of Devdaha Police Station, Dipak Mahat, the deceased poured kerosene on his body and burned himself to death. “Further investigation into the incident is underway.”


Bashyal was working as a guard at the quarantine facilities for the last 10 days. 


Some 15 individuals were staying at the quarantine facility where the incident happened.
