KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Nepali Congress (NC) MP Pradeep Paudel has said that the NC will start efforts to garner support for its candidate in the presidential election from today.
Talking to media persons outside the House of Representatives on Thursday, Paudel said that the NC will start efforts to gather support for the presidential election from today.

He said that since there is no agreement over the post of President, the NC will contest the presidential election. He said that it is natural for the NC to try to garner support by submitting nominations, even though it is difficult for the party's candidate to win the election in parliament.
Paudel also said that the NC has given a vote of confidence according to the statement that the Prime Minister will move forward based on consensus.
