Weightlifter Kamal leaving for Ashgabat

KATHMANDU, April 19: Weightlifter Kamal Bahadur Adhikari is leaving for Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on Thursday to take part in the Asian Senior Weightlifting Championship to be held from April 21 to 29.

KATHMANDU, April 19: Weightlifter Kamal Bahadur Adhikari is leaving for Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on Thursday to take part in the Asian Senior Weightlifting Championship to be held from April 21 to 29. 



Kamal who holds national record in men's 85 kg will participate in the same category in the championship. Olympian Sunil Lal Joshi is also accompany Kamal as coach.

 

Similarly, Nepal Weightlifting Association's President Ratan Kumar Tandon and General Secretary Partha Sarathi Sen Gupt are also leaving for Ashgabat to take part in the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF)'s congress to be held in same city.



National Sports Council (NSC)'s Member Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista bade farewell to Ashgabat bound Nepali team at NSC premises on Wednesday.
