Winter rain, snowfall likely: Forecasting Division

KATHMANDU, DEC 1: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that some parts of the hilly region in the country would receive partial to normal rainfall in the coming three days.

KATHMANDU, DEC 1: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that some parts of the hilly region in the country would receive partial to normal rainfall in the coming three days. 



In a statement released today, the Division said that slight rainfall could occur in one or two parts of the hilly region while forecasting the snowfall in the mountainous region.

According to the Division, slight snowfall could take place even today in the mountainous region while there is a chance of brief rainfall in west and hilly parts of the country. 

On Sunday, the western and eastern hilly belt of the country could witness partial rainfall while rest of the part would remain mostly clear. 


On Saturday, the hilly region and Kathmandu valley remained cloudy with showers. 

As per the latest update of the Division, the lowest temperature of Kathmandu valley remained 6.7 degree Celsius while 21.5 degree Celsius was the highest. 


Likewise, the temperature lowered below the minus and Biratnagar remained the warmest area with the highest temperature of 28 degree Celsius. RSS
