With 298 new cases reported in Kathmandu Valley in last 24 hours, COVID-19 tally reaches 5,426

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: The total number of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the Kathmandu Valley has climbed to 5,426 as 298 more people were diagnosed with this viral infection in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: The total number of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the Kathmandu Valley has climbed to 5,426 as 298 more people were diagnosed with this viral infection in the past 24 hours.



According to the COVID-19 updates unveiled by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) through its virtual media briefing on Monday, at least 190 people from Kathmandu district were found to have contracted the virus on Monday. Similarly, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts witnessed 67 and 41 new cases.

Though the district administrations in the three districts of the Valley have enforced prohibitory orders owing to the rising infections of this disease, starting August 19 midnight, the daily COVID-19 count is still scary. At least 429 people were diagnosed with this disease on Sunday alone.


The Valley also reported one more death due to this disease in the past 24 hours.
