Youth Association Nepal stages rally in support of President

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Youth Association Nepal (YAN), a youth organization close to the CPN-UML, demonstrated in Kathmandu in support of President Bidya Devi Bhandari's move.



YAN held a rally in the capital’s Baneshwar to support President Bhandari’s decision not to certify the Citizenship Amendment Bill. In the presence of leader Mahesh Basnet, the workers of the organization staged the rally. Addressing the meeting after the demonstration, UML leader Mahesh Basnet along with YAN leaders claimed that the President saved the country by not authenticating the Citizenship Bill.

President Bhandari is being criticized by the ruling parties for not certifying the Citizenship Bill passed by parliament for a second time and sent to the President for verification.
