NUWAKO, April 14: A woman was killed when her scooter met with an accident at Kakani Rural Municipality-1 this morning. The deceased has been identified as Rupa Tamang, 20, of Jarankhu of Tarakeshwar Municipality-11.
The accident happened as she was on the way to Kakaki from her home with her friend to celebrate the Nepali New Year 2074 BS. She died on the spot, according to Police Beat Kakani's inspector Kailash Bhattarai.

Her friend Srijana Shrestha who was pillion riding on the scooter, has been severely injured in the accident and has been rushed to the capital for treatment.
Tamang's scooter (Ba 79 Pa 9098) feel some 20 meters down off the road at Paire along the Pasang Lhamu road section as she lost the control over it, police said. RSS
