253 freed Haliya families selected for repair of their houses

KANCHANPUR, Jan 7: As many as 253 the freed Haliya families have been selected for repairing their houses.

KANCHANPUR, Jan 7: As many as 253 the freed Haliya families have been selected for repairing their houses. 



A meeting of the Kanchanpur District Freed-Haliya Rehabilitation Committee selected the families for this facility. These families belong to the category B and D among the freed-Haliya families as per the Committee's certification.

These families had been living in shanties in very poor condition and so they have been selected for construction of shelters, according to CB Luhar, president of the Rastriya Mukta Haliya Samaj Kanchanpur district chapter and a member of the Committee. 


The Land Reform Office, Kanchanpur will provide Rs 125 thousand per family to the selected families for repair and maintenance of their houses, in three installments. RSS
