A quarantine-returnee dies in Surket

SURKET, June 4: A youth who returned home after staying in a quarantine facility for 14 days died in Surket on Thursday morning.

 SURKET, June 4: A youth who returned home after staying in a quarantine facility for 14 days died in Surket on Thursday morning.



Krishna Tarami (20 years old) of Panchapuri Municipality-1 returned to Nepal from Mumbai, India on May 21. He then stayed at the quarantine facility set up at Bidyapur Multiple Campus.

“After testing negative in a Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT), we had sent him home directing him to stay in home quarantine for seven more days,” Mayor Upendra Bhadur Thapa said.


He (deceased) had left for home at around 3 pm on Wednesday. According to family sources, he was a patient of high blood pressure as well.


It has been learnt that the deceased had breathing difficulties before breathing his last. Preparations are being made to take his swab samples to Karnali Provincial Hospital to confirm whether he had died of COVID-19.
