Century Bank into last 16

KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Century Bank advanced into the pre-quarterfinals of the Third Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes 2016 as winner of Group B after winning both matches played on Thursday at the TU ground, Kirtipur.

KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Century Bank advanced into the pre-quarterfinals of the Third Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes 2016 as winner of Group B after winning both matches played on Thursday at the TU ground, Kirtipur.



Century overcame NMB Bank by 22 runs and ICFC Finance by one wicket to secured a place in the knockout stage as group winner with three wins in the four-team group. Batting first, Century scored 98/1 in the five-over match and restricted NMB Bank at 76/1. Suraj



Timalsina scored 35 runs for Century and Diwesh Dangol contributed 22 runs. 



In another mach against ICFC, Century surpassed the target of 79 runs in 3.3 overs. Suraj again contributed 32 runs for the winning team. He was declared the man-of-the-match in both matches. 



Nimbus made it to the last 16 as winner of Group C after defeating Jyoti Bikash Bank by six wickets. Nepal SBI Bank topped Group F after defeating Civil Bank by 11 runs to qualify for the knockout stage. 



Machhapuchchhre Bank finished behind Prabhu Bank to quality for the last 16 as Group A runner-up. Machhapuchchhre overcame Nabil Bank by six wickets sending the latter crashing out. 



The other group matches saw Kumari Bank beat NCC Bank by four wickets, ICFC Finance beat NIC Asia Bank by one wicket and Nepal Telecom pulled a 57-run win over Ruslan Cricket.
