Chairman Oli persuades Rawal to give up his plan to contest for party president

CHITWAN, Nov  26: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has held discussions with the party’s Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal in order to forge consensus on the party’s top post.

CHITWAN, Nov  26: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has held discussions with the party’s Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal in order to forge consensus on the party’s top post. 



Prior to the start of the inaugural session of the 14th General Convention of the UML, Chairman Oli held a discussion with leader Rawal, who had earlier announced his candidacy for the post of party’s chairman. Chairman Oli will be elected unopposed if Rawal agrees to withdraw his candidacy for the post of party chairman.

Rawal had reached Sauraha on Thursday after announcing his candidacy. Various party leaders have urged Rawal to withdraw his candidacy as he is less likely to get victory in the post.
