Completely clear weather only after a few more days

KATHMANDU, April 1: Air pollution has been reduced to some extent due to the rainfall that occurred in the hilly areas of the country including the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday evening.

KATHMANDU, April 1: Air pollution has been reduced to some extent due to the rainfall that occurred in the hilly areas of the country including the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday evening.



With the light rainfall on Wednesday evening, the weather, blanketed with smog from Friday, has become slightly clear.  


According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, some places of the hilly areas of the country including the Kathmandu Valley witnessed light rainfall yesterday evening due to the impact of the westerly wind.

Senior Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal said that it would take a few more days for the weather to become completely clear. 


He added that the wind speed should be higher to get the weather completely clear. The Kathmandu Valley recorded 7.8 millimetres rainfall on Wednesday.


Though the sky in the hilly areas of the country is partly to generally cloudy due to the impact of the westerly wind, other parts of the country are blanketed with smog.


There is a possibility of light rain with thunder at many places of hilly areas of Province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces this afternoon.


According to the weather update shared by Meteorological Forecasting Division, today's minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley was recorded at 13.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature at 26.5 degrees Celsius.
