COVID-19 patient dies at BPKIHS

DHARAN, July 17: A COVID-19 patient undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) died on Thursday night.

DHARAN, July 17: A COVID-19 patient undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) died on Thursday night.



According to BPKIHS, the deceased is a 73 years old man from Rajbiraj Municipality-6 of Saptari district. He had returned from India 13 days ago. After experiencing breathing difficulties, he was admitted to BPKIHS on July 14 and had tested positive for COVID-19 later.

The chief of the Area Police Office of Dharan, Chandra Bahadur Karki confirming the sad news said that the funeral will be carried out in joint collaboration with Nepal Army and District Administration Office.


According to Duniyalal Yadav, Chief District Health Officer, the contact tracing is underway.


So far, six people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Province 2.
