Cylinder gas bombs exploded in Chitwan

CHITWAN, April 18: Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) have exploded at two places of Chitwan district in course of the Nepal banda called by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led group.

CHITWAN, April 18: Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) have exploded at two places of Chitwan district in course of the Nepal banda called by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led group.



Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Deputy Superintendent of Police Durga Raj Regmi said that however no human casualty was reported in the incidents as the explosion took place away from the human settlements.

A cylinder bomb has been exploded near Gholkhet at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18 while another cylinder bomb was exploded at Kayer rivulet near Kalika municipality-8. However, a cylinder bomb planted at Ladari rivulet of Khairahani municipality-3 did not go off, said Regmi.


Normal life in Chitwan district has been affected due to the banda. Educational institutions, markets, factories have remained closed. Light vehicles likes van, auto-rickshaw, motorcycle are in operation.
