KATHMANDU, April 3: The Election Commission (EC) has invited applications for the observation of the by-election to the member of the House of Representatives scheduled on April 23.
Issuing a notice on Monday, the EC called for the application along with necessary documents from the national organizations wishing to observe the by-elections being held in Chitwan, Bara and Tanahu.

As per Schedule-2 of the Election Observation Directives-2079, the EC has urged them to submit applications within seven days. Candidates are filing their nomination for the by-election today.
The by-election is taking place at Chitwan-2, Bara-2 and Tanahu-1 on April 23.
