UDAYAPUR, Nov 21: An elderly pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle in Udayapur on Saturday evening at Jahada of Belka Municipality-5. The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old local resident, Ichcha Kumari Rai.
A motorcycle (Ko 34 Pa 2037) coming from the east hit Rai at around 6PM on Saturday. According to the police, Rai succumbed to her injuries at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan after receiving first aid at a local health facility.

Similarly, Alok Rai, 35, of Saptakoshi Municipality-1 of Saptari, who was driving the motorcycle was also injured in the accident. He is also undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and the further investigation is underway, according to the police.
