First Blood wins first place in short video competition

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: An animated movie – 'First Blood' produced by the RR Shree School of Technology has won the first place award worth Rs 50,000 in the short video competition organized by DCA Nepal – a Danish INGO.

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: An animated movie – 'First Blood' produced by the RR Shree School of Technology has won the first place award worth Rs 50,000 in the short video competition organized by DCA Nepal – a Danish INGO.

The competition was organized to sensitize the public on the issue of 'dignified menstruation', according to a press statement issued by the organizer. “This was just a small step and contribution to raise such an important issue,” the statement quoted Country Director of DCA David Wallace Smith as saying.


Rajowati – directed by Rewati Gurung won the second award, Ashma Gautam won the third title for her film Reimagined and Breaking the Stigma' directed by Madhu Khadka won the audience award. The winners were awarded with certificates and prize money amid a function of Nepal Menstrual Health Management Alliance held in Jhamsikhel.
