Gandaki Province reports 58 new COVID-19 cases

POKHARA, June 20: Seven different districts of Gandaki Province have reported 58 more cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease on Saturday morning.

POKHARA, June 20: Seven different districts of Gandaki Province have reported 58 more cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease on Saturday morning.



According to Gandaki Province Health Directorate, a total of 25 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Tanahu district alone. They include 21 from Rishing Rural Municipality and two each from Byas and Shukla Gandaki municipalities in the district.

Similarly, 16 others tested positive for COVID-19 in Nawalpur district. They include 11 from Bulingtar Rural Municipality, two from Madhya Bindu Municipality and one each from  Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality, Baudi Kali Rural Municipality and Devchuli Municipality.


Kathekhola Rural Municipality of Baglung and Bhimsen Municipality in Gorkha district have reported eight and five new COVID-19 cases, respectively. Similarly, Madi Rural Municipality in Kaski district has witnessed two COVID-19 patients including a 19-month baby girl.  Myagdi and Syangja districts have also reported one case each.


Dr Binod Bindu Sharma at the Gandaki Province Health Directorate said all those tested positive for the COVID-19 are being taken to isolation centers in their respective district hospitals.


With this, COVID-19 tally in Gandaki Province has jumped to 438.
