Govt allows people to leave valley for their hometowns on Friday and Saturday

KATHMANDU, April 9: Government has decided to allow people, who are forced to live in Kathmandu due to nationwide lockdown, to leave Kathmandu for their hometowns on Friday and Saturday.

KATHMANDU, April 9: Government has decided to allow people, who are forced to live in Kathmandu due to nationwide lockdown, to leave Kathmandu for their hometowns on Friday and Saturday.

A meeting of the high-level government committee to prevent and contain novel coronavirus on Thursday decided to this effect keeping in mind that hundreds of people mostly college students are compelled to live in Kathmandu amid the extended lockdown.


However, the government has barred people from entering Kathmandu Valley in the two-day period in view of possible COVID-19 transmission.
