In a bid to check the spread of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has suspended the movement via air-route till May 14. The online access for renewal of the work permits, however, has been given continuity, the department has said in its notice.

Last year, the government suspended issuing work permits on March 12 as part of the measures taken by the government to curb the spread of the coronavirus, which was reopened only after six months.
