KATHMANDU, Sept 6: It has been revealed that there is also a hospital inside Thamel-based Hotel Vienna operated by Dawa Tsering, who was recently arrested in connection with the 60 kg gold scam. What is more interesting is that the doctors of the hospital are Chinese nationals.
Dawa is a Belgian citizen and his wife Amala Roka is a Nepali citizen. Both of them have been running the 'Hotel Vienna' in Thamel. Pranish, brother of Maoist Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun, is also a partner in Hotel Vienna.

Tsering, Amala Roka, Manjil Shrestha, Chinese national Zili Yang, Chen Kaimu, Guangpeng Jong, and Pranish Pun are partners in the hotel. Sources said that the police have made a list of 25 people including Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Barshaman Pun, Rahul Mahara, Dipesh Pun, Pranish Pun, Amala Roka, Bindu Magar for questioning.
The last time when the CIB conducted a raid, it was found that the hospital was being operated inside the hotel and Chinese doctors were treating patients there. Investigations have revealed that Chinese doctors are active in visiting Nepal on tourist and business visas on the pretext of treating patients.
“The hospital is being operated without permission,” said an officer involved in the investigation. According to the officer, Chinese citizens who are doing business in Thamel, Pokhara, Bauddha and other places get treatment there.
The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) raided Hotel Vienna on July 30 and arrested Dawa Tsering. But his wife Amala Roka is absconding.
