KATHMANDU, March 29: COVID-19 vaccines donated to Nepal by the Chinese government arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu on Monday.
Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi, handed over COVID-19 vaccines to the Minister for Health and Population (MoHP), Hridayesh Tripathi, amidst a special function organized at TIA this morning.

Following a delay in procurement of Covishield vaccines by the Serum Institute in India, Nepal had suspended the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive.
The government is now all set to re-launch the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
Earlier, the Chinese government announced a grant of 800,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Nepal.
