IN PICS: Landslides in Gandaki Province

KATHMANDU, July 11: As many as 30 people have died in Landslides triggered by incessant rain in Kaski, Lamjung and Myagdi districts of Gandaki Province.

KATHMANDU, July 11: As many as 30 people have died in Landslides triggered by incessant rain in Kaski, Lamjung and Myagdi districts of Gandaki Province.

Some are still missing in Myagdi. So far, 20 dead bodies have been recovered.


Seven people in Kaski and three in Lamjung were also killed by landslides.


According to DSP Kiran Jung Kuwar of the District Police Office, Myagdi, search and rescue operations for the missing people are underway.


The rescue and search teams are facing difficulties in the rescue mission  because of bad weather.
