Interschool Sports Tournament Ends

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Modern Indian School (MIS) Interschool Sports Tournament 2017 concluded on Sunday at the school premises in Chobar.

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Modern Indian School (MIS) Interschool Sports Tournament 2017 concluded on Sunday at the school premises in Chobar.



The tournament began on November 15 where around 250 students from as many as 10 schools participated for various sports such as table tennis, basketball and football competitions.

According to the press statement released by Modern Indian School, the winners received the prize from Principal of Modern Indian School, Raju Peter, Head Mistress Maya Rana and administrative officer Joyti Kadkha.


Meanwhile, MIS defeated Triyog School by 3-0 in the boys' table tennis tournament finals while MIS defeated Triyog School by 3-2 in the girls' table tennis tournament finals.


In basketball competition, White House defeated MIS in the finals with 35-29 points.  Niloy Maharjan of White House secured 11 points, also won the title of ‘Highest Scorer’ while the award of ‘Most Valuable’ went to Kabi Gurung of MIS.


Likewise, the final football match was held between Ideal Model School and DAV School where Ideal Model School won the match by 3-0 goals. For Ideal Model School Anuj Byanjankar scored two goals and he was awarded with ‘Highest Scorer’ while Sunil Maharjan scored one goal. Aman Chaudhary from DAV School was awarded the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ whereas Sumita Maharjan of Ideal Model School won the title ‘Player of the tournament.’
