KIMFF creates history

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Three hundred sixty films have been registered for the 13th Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, scheduled to begin from December 7. According to the press statement issued by the organizing team, a total of 40 panorama films have been registered so far -- the highest registration the festival has seen yet.

President of KIMFF, Basanta Thapa, informed that the best films would be selected for the presentation at the festival in one month's time. The best film of the festival will get a cash prize of $1,500. Similarly, first and second runner-ups will get $1,000 and $500 respectively. Likewise, best fiction film from Nepali panorama will be awarded Rs 75,000, and best documentary will get 50,000 respectively along with the certificate.
