LMC to take legal action against Summit Apartments

LALITPUR, April 10: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) is going to take legal action against Summit Apartments (formerly Summit Hotel) which has constructed apartments without approval from the metropolis.

LALITPUR, April 10: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) is going to take legal action against Summit Apartments (formerly Summit Hotel) which has constructed apartments without approval from the metropolis.



An all-party meeting held to address the problems arising due the construction of apartments at the location of the then Summit Hotel in Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No 1 and 2 has decided to take strict action against Summit Hotel. It has been found that this apartment is being constructed without getting the design approval from Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

This apartment is going to be built with the investment of Nepali billionaire Binod Chaudhary and other groups. It has also been found that the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the apartment has not been done. Due to the apartment itself, four houses in Bakhundole have been damaged.


In the decision number 10 of the all-party meeting held at the Lalitpur Metropolitan City on Sunday, it was decided to take action against the relevant parties of the LMC in accordance with the law regarding the construction work without the approval of the land map pass from the Lalitpur metropolis.
