CHITWAN, May 12: A person was killed and three others sustained injuries after a lorry and truck collided this morning at Pampha bridge of Rapti municipality – 6 along the East West Highway.
According to District Police Office, the lorry with Indian registration plate no PP 05AB 9494 and heading toward Bharatpur collided with a truck (Na 6 Kha 683) coming from the opposite direction at 2:35 am.
Indian lorry driver Sukdev Singh, 35, of Ferozepur in Panjab sustained fatal injuries in the collision and died at 6:31 am in course of treatment. The lorry owner and Nepali truck's driver and assistant driver are undergoing treatment. They are reported to be out of danger.
