FUNGLING, March 28: Lalit Gurung,58, of Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality-3 Hangpang died on the spot after being shot by a shotgun while hunting.
District Police Office Taplejung Police Inspector Kushram Karki said that Lalit died on the spot after being hit by a pellet gun fired by 22-year-old Bir Bahadur Gurung.

According to him, they had gone hunting in Kalidah forest at around 10 o'clock on Monday night. Police Inspector Karki said that Lalit died as he received a gunshot while hunting.
It is said that after the incident, the team of Hangpang police station took Bir Bahadur Gurung into custody with a loaded gun.
District Police Office Taplejung has said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
