KATHMANDU, March 8: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah held a meeting with CPN-UML politburo member and former minister Mahesh Basnet on Wednesday to end animosity between the two.
Mayor Shah reached Basnet Niwas in Gundu, Suryabinayak Municipality Ward-7 of Bhaktapur to meet Basnet, an outspoken critic of the KMC Mayor, to discuss cooperation among them.

Following the meeting, Mayor Shah and leader Basnet have put an end to their disagreement and have decided to cooperate with each other in the future.
Lately, leader Basnet had been a strong critic of Mayor Shah. He was raising questions about every action of the metropolis.
