Minister Ale expresses concern over Nepal Academy’s budget cut

KATHMANDU, June 23: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and CIvil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale has expressed concern over the budget cut for Nepal Academy and has called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to pay attention to the issue.

KATHMANDU, June 23: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and CIvil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale has expressed concern over the budget cut for Nepal Academy and has called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to pay attention to the issue. 



Stating that Nepal Academy publishes many literary works and essays, he demanded a budget for the publication of additional works by the academy.

He said, "This year's budget has neglected, compared to last year's budget, various establishments connected with literature and culture." Nepal Academy has published many literary works. However, the Ministry of Finance has reduced its budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2022/23. I would like to inform the Prime Minister that an additional budget is required for the publication of additional works and essays.”


Furthermore, Minister Ale praised the works and accomplishments of Nepal Academy.
