GORKHA, Aug 28: In what we call a gruesome act, 17-year-old mother has buried her own11-day-old daughter alive.
According to police Rashmi Gurung of Siranchowk rural municipality-2, Khamari dug a hole, wrapped her daughter in a sack and buried her alive 300 meters away from her house in the wee hours of Saturday (August 25).

Rashmi committed this heinous crime when all the family members were asleep at 1 am on Saturday. A naming ceremony had been performed the other day and the baby had been named ‘Tika,’ according to a local.
Rashmi had married 19-year-old Sabal Bhandari last year.
Sarita Gurung, mother of Rashmi, was not happy with her daughter getting married to Bhandari.
Police have started investigation into the case by taking Sarita, Rashmi and her youngest sister Babina into custody.
