RUKUM, Feb 20: Police have arrested a woman and a man on the charge of burying their child alive after delivery in Salyan district.
The arrested are a 20-year-old Lal Maya Budha and Keshab Sunar, 33, of Darma Municipality.
Birendra Bahadur Sahi, a Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) of Salyan has informed that it has been proved from the investigation that the baby was born through an extramarital affair of Budha and Sunar and they have killed their own child.

After delivering the baby, Lal Maya Budha buried her child in the wheat field nearby her house. Both culprits admitted their crime in front of the police, Sahi added.
Lal Maya Budha’s husband is in Malaysia for foreign employment for the last two years. Both the accused are taken into police custody for further investigation as per the district court order.
