Nepal adds 603 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours

A total of 254 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu Valley alone in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, April 14: Nepal has recorded 603 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.



According to the Ministry of Health and Populations, these new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed from among 4289 PCR tests and 451 antigen tests conducted across the country.

A total of 254 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours in Kathmandu Valley alone. These include 173 cases in Kathmandu, 61 in Lalitpur, and 20 others in Bhaktapur district, according to the MoHP.


While a total of 129 persons recovered successfully in the past 24 hours, 80 persons tested positive for the COVID-19 are undergoing treatment in ICU and 25 others are receiving treatment with ventilator support.


According to the MoHP, a total of 1,536 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed from among 13,053 samples collected for test from Monday to Wednesday. As many as 420 persons have recovered successfully as of Wednesday.


Currently, there are a total 4,056 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 3599 patients are staying in home isolation.
